Painting as a Way of Life: The Blind Orion of Nicolas Poussin

Professor Neer will discuss a painting by the 17th century French artist Nicolas Poussin, entitled Blind Orion Seeking the Sun (1658), and its relation to early modern ideas of selfhood, skepticism and science.
